Churches Update COVID-19 Policies, Service Times

ALTOONA

Allegheny Synod Lutheran Church

• Recommends following the guidelines from the state.

CLAYSBURG

Upper Claar Church of the Brethren

• Outside service at 9:30 a.m.

• Inside Sunday School

EAST FREEDOM

Smith Corner Church

• Sunday Morning Worship: 8:15, 10:30 a.m.

• Sunday School: 9:30 a.m.

• Sunday Evening Worship: 6 p.m.

• Wednesday Evening: 7 p.m.

EVERETT

Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren

• Still doing 2 services to reduce gathering numbers: 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday

• Ask that masks be worn when moving around

• Will continue online services

MARTINSBURG

Martinsburg Grace Brethren

• Services inside

• Social distancing barriers have been removed from the main part of the sanctuary, but remain in place in other sections for those who choose to distance

•Livestream available for both worship services

• Masks not required

• Worship: 9 a.m., 11 a.m.

• Sunday School: 10 a.m.

Martinsburg Mennonite Church

• Service at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot

St. Matthew Lutheran

• Returned to modified in-person worship, including both indoor and outdoor services.

• Continues to practice safety protocols (masks, distancing, no indoor singing).

• First Sunday of the month, 9 A.M. Worship in the Sanctuary

• Second, third and fourth Sunday, 9 a.m. outside

• Fifth Sunday (May & August) 10:30 a.m. Worship at Kreider Farm

NEW ENTERPRISE

New Enterprise Church of the

• One half of the sanctuary still has every other pew taped off

• Mask wearing is still recommended

• Visitation, to a degree, has resumed, but only after contacting the person to confirm they are comfortable with a home visit

• Video recording of the worship service continues

Faith United Methodist

• Masks are now optional, but encouraged for those who have not been vaccinated.

• We have begun to sing again, to share in communion, and to read/respond as a corporate body.

• Kid-focused elements have returned to in-person worship and we welcome their energy, curiosity, and noise!

• We have reopened our classroom wing and use of our Fellowship Hall.

• Worship: Sunday, 9 a.m.
