Leona C. "Moan" Ott

Leona C. "Moan" Ott, 86, of Duncansville R.D., passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Donnertown, daughter of the late James Matthew and Emma (Fleck) Sell.

She married R. William "Bill" Ott Aug. 8, 1951, in Cumberland, Md.. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 2003.

She is survived by a son R. William Ott Jr and wife Kathy; a daughter Dawn Jackson and husband Greg and daughter-in-law Audrey Ott all of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren: Travis, Matt, Steve, Mandy and Amber; a great-grandson Gage; three sisters: Ailene Butler, Shirley Smith and Jean Thompson; and her dog "Daisy".

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ott; sisters: Elsie Sell and Pauline "Dot" Smith; and a brother James Sell.

Leona was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed "old lady lunch" with her sisters, family gatherings at farm hill, Camp Lobo in Potter County, puzzles, fishing and watching eagles.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, May 27, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home (www.lesliemillerfuneralhome.com), East Freedom with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery.
