Kristen Nicole (Dodson) Thomas

Kristen Nicole (Dodson) Thomas, 34, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, May. 13, 2021, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.

She was born Oct. 1, 1986, in Altoona, daughter of Curtis and Tracey (Horner) Dodson of Martinsburg.

She married her high-school sweetheart, Duanne Thomas on Oct. 4, 2014.

She is survived by her parents; her devoted husband; two daughters: Rylie and Karsyn; grandmother, Norma Dodson; and mother and father-in-law, Judy and Kenneth Thomas.

Kristen was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Dodson, Helen Horner and Harold Horner.

Kristen was a 2005 graduate of Central High School, attended Penn State University, and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Roaring Spring.

She was active in the community and very passionate about coaching Cove Youth Cheer. Kristen loved life and spending time with her family and friends. Her infectious laugh and bright smile lit up any room she entered.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Roaring Spring.
