Man Pardoned in Robbery

Samuel D. Brown of Woodbury, who had been convicted of a post office robbery at that place, was pardoned when it was learned that he had been the victim of an injustice and that he was an innocent man.

Henry D. Kensinger of North Woodbury Township entered the race for county commissioner on the Republican ticket.

A fire in the ice house of E.B. Deford was discovered before it had a chance to spread. Boys playing in the ice house were thought to be responsible for the fire.

The Martinsburg cornet band was reorganized and was practicing nearly every night.

The annual meeting of the Blair County Agricultural Society was held at Hollidaysburg. Prof. P.H. Bridenbaugh of the county home elected president of the Blair County Agricultural Society; Hon. J.D. Hicks and Wm. VanAllman, vice presidents; Col. William Jack, secretary; and H.M. Henshey, treasurer. Sept. 15 to 18 was set as the dates for the county fair.
