NB Girls Earn Playoff Berth

Northern Bedford’s girls’ basketball squad dug themselves a deep hole in the first quarter of the Feb. 22 home game versus Southern Huntingdon.

The Rockets’ pressure defense created numerous turnovers and easy opportunities as they blasted off to a 21-2 first-quarter lead.

From that point forward the Panthers played evenly with the Rockets and cut the lead, at one point, to 23-13 in the middle of the second period. The Rockets, sparked by a strong third quarter would increase that lead and go on to win 78-60.

The Panthers fall to 2-9 overall.
