Lori J. (Hubbard) Botteicher, 73, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday. Feb. 21, 2021, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 22, 1947, in Mount Penn, daughter of the late Robert and Jane (Mahan) Hubbard. She married Richard F. "Hank" Botteicher in 1970.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years; a daughter, Julie Hollobaugh (Matthew) of State College; a son, Richard B. "Bo" (Melissa) in Colorado .; four grandchildren: Owen, Mia, Ella, and Louisa; and a sister, Diane Angstadt (George) of Ephrata.
Lori graduated from Mount Penn High School in 1965, followed by West Chester State College in 1969, and then did graduate work at Shippensburg University. She worked for the Hollidaysburg Area School District beginning in the fall 1969 as an elementary teacher, and retired in June 2003.
Lori was involved in many organizations over the years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, and the Iron Masters Country Club.
She was a member of Simpson Temple United Parish, where she served as president of the church council.
Lori enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling. Some of her favorite trips were going on river cruises and to China. She loved spending winters in Florida and was an avid gardener. She had an incredible talent for selecting and creating unique gifts for her grandchildren. Above all, Lori loved and was deeply loved by her family.
