Elva E. (Brumbaugh) Clouse, 93, of Martinsburg, passed away Feb. 22, 2021.
She was born June 3, 1927, in rural Williamsburg; daughter of the late John and Ida (Endres) Brumbaugh. She married George W. Clouse on Jan. 31, 1945. He preceded her in death April 16, 2004.
She is survived by daughter Janet Clouse of Martinsburg; son Ron Clouse (Roberta) of Cross Junction, Va.; daughter Dorothy Gesalman (Jack) of Greensburg; daughter Joyce Earhart (Larry) of Stephens City, Va.; daughter Mary Manges (John) of Oxford; son Dwight Clouse (Deborah) of New Enterprise; son Gerald Clouse (Melissa) of Woodbury; son Roger Clouse of Martinsburg; son Kenton Clouse (Jennifer) of New Enterprise; as well as 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Elva was preceded in death by a grandson, Joel Gesalman; and nine siblings.
Elva was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren and enjoyed homemaking, canning, gardening, and reading her bible.
She worked as a custodian at both the Woodbury Elementary School and the Woodbury Church of the Brethren.
A funeral was held Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Larry Graybill officiated. Interment was in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elva's name can be made to the charity of your choice.
