Fannett-Metal visited Northern Bedford on Feb. 8 and the Tigers needed a second-half surge to topple the Lady Panthers, 60-30.
The game was tight throughout the first half and Fannett-Metal held a slim 25-20 lead at the half. A 16-8 Tiger advantage in the third frame opened up a double-digit gap and FM never looked back. NB could manage just 2 points in the fourth quarter.
“We were competitive and did some good things in the first half and then we crumbled,” said NB coach Jon Ewart of his 1-5 Panther girls.
