NB Wrestles Past BA, Everett

The Northern Bedford High School wrestling team battled Glendale and host Southern Huntingdon on Feb. 8.

Glendale took advantage of five forefeits in a 54-12 win over the Panthers. The Vikings also had wins by a fall, major decision, injury default, technical fall and decision.

Sophomore Drew Childers (132 pounds) and freshman Rece Dibert (160) each won by decision for Northern Bedford, while junior Derek Beach won by forfeit at 285 pounds.

Southern Huntingdon was aided by three forfeits during its 27-25 win over Northern Bedford. The Rockets also had one fall and one decision to round out their 27 points.

NB picked up its 25 points as junior Reyan Imler won by fall at 126, Childers scored a major decision at 132, senior Tristin Pepple won by decision at 145, freshman Eion Snider was victorious by injury default at 152 and Beach won by forfeit at 285.

There were no matches at 138, 189 and 106 pounds.

• NB 30, Bellwood-Antis 24: Host Northern Bedford earned its second win of the season Feb. 9 with a 30-24 victory over Bellwood-Antis.

Senior Tristin Pepple (138) and freshman Eion Snider (152) each pinned their B-A opponents. Junior Derek Beach (285) and sophomore Drew Childers (132) each earned decisions. Juniors Dillian Walker (120) and Reyan Imler (126) both won by forfeit for the Panthers.

B-A had three wins by forfeit and one by fall.

There were no matches at 145, 106 and 113 pounds.

• Tussey Mountain 48, NB 12: Visiting Tussey Mountain had four forfeit wins and two falls en route to a 48-12 win over Northern Bedford on Feb. 11.

The Titans also had one technical fall, one major decision and one decision.

Northern Bedford freshman Eion Snider earned a fall at 152 pounds, while freshman Rece Dibert and junior Dakota Korzec had decisions at 145 and 215 pounds, respectively.

There was no match at 113 pounds.

• NB 45, Everett 6: Visiting Northern Bedford won its third dual meet of the season Feb. 13, cruising past Everett 45-6.

Three Panthers earned falls during the meet: junior Derek Beach (285 pounds), senior Tristin Pepple (138) and junior Dakota Korzec (215).

Freshman Rece Dibert won by decision at 152 pounds, while junior Dillian Walker (120), junior Reyan Imler (126), sophomore Drew Childers (132) and freshman Eion Snider (160) all won by forfeit.

Everett won by forfeit at 106 pounds.

There were no matches at 113, 145, 172 and 189 pounds.
