East Freedom
Kendall Lynn Lake, 5, of East Freedom, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at the Penn State Children's Hospital – Hershey as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Nov. 26, 2015, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of James M. Lake and Karrie Lynn (Yuhnke) McCall.
Kendall is survived by her father of Bedford; her mother of East Freedom; her maternal grandfather, Dr. James M. Yuhnke of Altoona; paternal grandmother, Carole Bowles of Hydman; uncle Robert R. Webb of East Freedom; aunt Susan Miller (Kenneth) of Michigan; aunt Laura Skinner of North Carolina; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kendall was preceded in death by her grandmother and stepgrandfather, Karen (Edmiston) and James Mundorff, who were also killed in the accident with Kendall.
Kendall was currently attending the Headstart Program at the Spring Cove Elementary School and will be greatly missed by her teachers and fellow classmates.
Kendall loved Minnie Mouse, playing in her kitchen, horses, her cat, Socks, and she loved talking and messaging on the phone. She especially loved spending time with her Uncle Robby.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring (www.thompsonfh.com). A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kendall's memory may be given to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society or to the family through the GoFundMe page that has been established for Kendall.
