KAREN (EDMISTON) MUNDORFF

New Paris

Karen (Edmiston) Mundorff, 74, of New Paris, died tragically Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, along with her husband James and granddaughter Kendall.

She was born July 26, 1946, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Evelyn M. (Yingling) Edmiston.

She is survived by her four children: Robert R. Webb of East Freedom, Susan Miller (Kenneth) of Michigan, Laura Skinner of North Carolina and Karrie McCall of East Freedom; five grandchildren: Tyler Winters, Logan Webb, Christopher R. Miller, William T. Skinner V and Nikolas Webb; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Miller; and three sisters: Rebecca Pheasant (Junior) of Williamsburg, Pamela Stock (Roger) of Martinsburg and Sharon Frederick (Larry) of Martinsburg.

Along with her husband James and granddaughter Kendall, Karen is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Miller.

She was a member of Cove Forge United Methodist Church.

Karen was a 1964 graduate of Williamsburg Community High School and had also graduated from the Henry Ford School of Nursing in Michigan and Penn State Altoona, where she had obtained her RN and bachelor's degree in nursing.

She retired as a registered nurse from Penn Knoll Village, Everett.

Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending yard sales, cooking, sewing, knitting, and she also like gardening and would always give away her vegetables to others.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring (www.thompsonfh.com). A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
