Greenfield Township Considers Basketball Court Fencing

Greenfield Township Board of Supervisors discussed the possibility of installing a fence around the basketball court at the Claysburg Area Community Park during their Feb. 2 meeting.

Basketballs sometimes bounce away from the court and end up on a nearby roadway, creating a safety issue. Installing fencing of up to 10 feet high could resolve the concern. The township will explore applying for a grant to fund the project, which could also include new signage and restriping the court. Antis Township recently completed a similar project, according to Arlene Kuntz, township secretary-treasurer.
