Martinsburg
Audrey E. Beach, 90, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday evening, Jan. 30, 2021, at her daughter’s home in rural Martinsburg.
She was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Henrietta, daughter of the late Howard J. and Edna G. (Hinish) Beach.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Greenleaf (Larry) of rural Martinsburg; three grandchildren: Brandon Greenleaf (Andrea) of Altoona and Andrea Moses (Caleb) and Erica Frederick (Paul), both of Martinsburg; seven great-grandchildren: Colson Greenleaf, Cooper Greenleaf, Jonah Greenleaf, Addison Moses, Grace Moses, Bryce Frederick and Aiden Frederick; two sisters: Bonnie Flaugh of East Freedom and Ethel Martin of Roaring Spring; and a brother, Ray Beach of Roaring Spring.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Beach and Ruth Beach; and three brothers: infant Jackie Leroy, Earl G. and H. Eugene Beach.
Audrey was a 1948 graduate of Martinsburg High School and a member of Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Burget’s Hardware in Curryville and for more than 20 years as a bankteller at Mid-State Bank, Martinsburg. Audrey also worked for many years at the Morrisons Cove Livestock Auction (the Sale Barn), where she was in charge of the office.
She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grand and great-grandchildren and shopping on QVC. Audrey’s door was always open to family and friends, to just stop for a visit, get a bite to eat or help her work on a jigsaw puzzle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com). Pastor Caleb Moses will officiate.
Private interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
