The Spring Cove School District has begun online registration for kindergarten classes for the 2021-22 school year.
To be eligible to enter the kindergarten program, a child must be 5 or become 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2021.
To complete the online registration, parents are asked to visit the following website – http://www.springcovesd.org/Registration/. Under Quick Links, click on the 2021-22 new student enrollment link. There parents will be asked to create a PowerSchool Enrollment Account (if there is not an existing account). Parents will then be asked to complete and submit the online registration.
After completing the online registration, parents will be contacted to make appointments for the kindergarten screenings for their child at Spring Cove Elementary. Parents will be asked to bring the following to the kindergarten screening:
• The child’s birth certificate issued by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Vital Statistics
•Proof of immunization records: Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chicken Pox), DTP, Polio, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Proof of residency (examples: utility bill, rental agreement or lease)
• Parent photo identification (example: driver’s license)
Any child who did not attend kindergarten and will be 6 years of age on or before the first day of the school term may register for first grade.
Parents of children who are eligible for registration and do not have access to online technology may call Rena Davis at 224-3098 for an appointment. Parents or guardians may contact their building principal at 224-2311 or the director of special education at 224-3020 if they think their child is exceptional, have questions, or believe their child may need to be identified or to obtain specific information about the times and locations of screening activities.
