Margaret A. "Peggy" King, 83, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 22, 2021, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born July 15, 1937, in Lakemont, daughter of the late Blair I. and Anna P. (Moore) Crownover. On Aug. 13, 1966, she married Thomas J. King in Williamsburg. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2013.
Surviving are a son, Blair F. King (Pennie Cadwallader) of Williamsburg; a daughter, Tammy J. Caiazzo (Mike) of Blue Bell, Montgomery County; two grandsons: Joshua T. King (Adia Litzinger) of Williamsburg and Michael C. Caiazzo at home; and two brothers: Russell L. Crownover of Martinsburg and Gary I. Crownover of Altoona.
Peggy was a 1956 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a longtime active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She was also a member of Williamsburg Women's Civic Club and American Legion Auxiliary Bonner-Sollenberger Unit 456, Williamsburg.
She was employed for more than 30 years at her family's grocery store in Williamsburg (Crownover's Market). Peggy also worked at various local retail stores during her lifetime.
Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Peggy volunteered for many events and fundraisers, that the Williamsburg High School Band Parents hosted. She was always there for her family or anyone that needed a helping hand.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich will officiate. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
