Roaring Spring

David Edward Itinger, 85, of Roaring Spring, son of the late Harry Frederick Itinger and Eleanor Jane Porter, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Bonsell; a brother, Richard Itinger; and stepson Steven Bollman.

He is survived by his wife Trudy Bollman; daughters Wendy Hunter (Michael), Elizabeth Hrenko (Tony) and Laurie Warner; granddaughters Barbara Hrenko (Matt Mann), Megan McAllister (Tommy) and Rachel Itinger (Tyler Townsend); great-granddaughter Analise McAllister; two sisters: Arlene Page of Columbia, Md., and Kathy Oliver of Warminster, PA; step-daughter Lynn Heltzel (Jeff); and grandsons Shane and Daniel Heltzel and Hunter Bollman.

He was a private in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Knox.

He was a truck driver for most of his life, retiring from Cerro Metals in Bellefonte, Pa.

Big Ed, as he was known, was an avid woodworker and gardener who enjoyed painting, rides in the mountains and camping.

No services are planned at this time.
