ELMER AUNGST JR.

Elmer Aungst, Jr., 97, of East Freedom, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring, after a brief illness.

He was born July 6, 1923, in Brooks Mills, the son of the late Elmer Aungst Sr. and Mabel (Boyer) Aungst. He married Betty J. Flaugh March 16, 1943, and she passed away March 20, 2008.

He is survived by three children: Ronald G. Aungst and wife Georgia of Brooks Mills, Bonnie L. Norris of Indiana, Pa., and Gary L. Aungst and wife Susan of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Wilfred "Bill" Aungs...
