Nanty Glo, formerly of Roaring Spring
David R. Coates, 66, of Nanty Glo, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at the Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.
He was born Sept. 20, 1954, in Roaring Spring, the son of the late Charles E. and Naomi (Koones) Coates.
He is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Ruth Coates of Roaring Spring, Richard Coates and wife Janet of Roaring Spring, Rose Bishop and husband John of Hollidaysburg and John Coates of Roaring Spring; three nephews: Preston Coates (Trish), Tyson Coates (Sarah) and Kevin Bishop; and a great-niece and a great-nephew.
David was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring.
He was a 1973 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg.
He enjoyed crafting, jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles and talking to and being around other people.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
