Harry Liebegott of Martinsburg was assisting Smouse & Brown in cutting corn fodder at the premises of T.S. Isenberg, south of town, when his right had was caught in the gearing of the fodder cutter, crushing and lacerating three fingers. Two fingers were amputated by Dr. R.T. Eldon, assisted by Dr. Wm. M. Eldon of Roaring Spring.
Lewis D. Eichelberger died at the Masonic home near Philadelphia. Many years ago he was a superintendent of a large iron foundry at Johnstown and at one time a prominent citizen of Blair County and a nominee for sheriff.
