Library Offering Contactless Services

Due to recent circumstances, beginning Monday, Nov. 30, our Williamsburg Public Library will be providing contactless service as well as offering appointments for computer use and browsing for books, movies and audiobooks. We also offer faxing and copying; appointments can be made for these services as well.

Contactless services include The Little Porch Library, our Bag a Book Program and the Parking lot WiFi. With The Little Porch Library, patrons can still have access to books during all hours, every day. Take books and choose to return or keep. Books may be returned in the library's book drop just like any other book return.

With the Bag a Book Program patrons can request specific books or authors, and if they do not know what book they want, asking for a certain genre is enough. We can pick for you. The Bag a Book Program is available during our regular library hours. We will bag up the books and either meet during the designated time at our window, or deliver them to the parking area.

The recent installation of WiFi extenders to our Williamsburg Public Library building has been a welcome addition, especially during the times in which many businesses and schools are remaining closed. The WiFi is free to use and reaches through the entire parking area. It is great for completing school and work assignments, or just staying in touch with friends and family.

Call the library at 832-3367, send a message to us on Facebook or email at [email protected] to make your appointment, ask questions, or to request a book.

A reminder of what the library has to offer: faxing, copying, and laminating services. Computer and WiFi use. Books in adult fiction and nonfiction, large print, children's easy fiction and board books, junior fiction and nonfiction, and young adult fiction. Movies and television programs. Audiobooks. Interlibrary loans. Magazines and newspapers.

We feel this is the best way to continue providing our services to the public while keeping our patrons and staff safe. As always, thank you for being supportive and understanding!
