Dozens Leave Due to Flooding

Flooding described as the worst since 1936 hit the Cove area last Thursday night, forcing dozens of families from their homes in the Claysburg-East Freedom area.

Approximately 130 paper mill employees went back to work Tuesday at the Roaring Spring plant of Combined Paper Mills, Inc., after union members voted to accept a contract and end a 97-day strike.
