Area Community Thanksgiving Services Cancelled Due to Virus

Area ministeriums have cancelled their community Thanksgiving services due to the recent rise in numbers of those affected by COVID-19.

The Claysburg-East Freedom Ministerium will broadcast its Thanksgiving service Sunday, Nov. 22, at 6:30 p.m. via Facebook and YouTube. The Rev Calvin Miller of United Methodist Claysburg, Queen and Weyant will be the speaker.

Donations or offerings may be sent to the Claysburg Ministerium, c/o David Maxwell, Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, 405 Upper Claar Road, Claysburg, PA 16625.

The Southern Cove-Yellow Creek Ministerium discussed in October that each pastor would encourage his/her congregation to give thanks individually in other ways.
