Resident of The Presbyterian Home at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Roaring Spring
Ruth Eileen Albright, 90, resident of The Presbyterian Home at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, Oct. 23, 2020, at the home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1929, in New Enterprise, daughter of the late Charles E. and Anna Fern (Kagarise) Dively. She was formerly married to the late Homer H. Albright.
Surviving are a son, William Albright (wife, Joyce) of Lecanto, Fla .; a daughter, Carol McGee (husband, George "Jody") of York; four grandchildren: Kathryn Johnson, Megan Ludwick, Michael McGee and David McGee; a great-grandson, Dakota Albright; two great-granddaughters, Adeline and Annaliese Ludwick; several special nieces and nephews; and special friend, Betty Klobetanz.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Lamborn and Mona Lou Treece.
Ruth was a 1948 graduate of Martinsburg High School and also attended classes at the Altoona Area Vocational School, where she studied interior decorating. She retired from Roaring Spring Blank Book and was previously employed at Sylvania, Altoona.
She was a member of the Hollidaysburg YMCA Women's Auxiliary, YMCA women's morning water aerobics class, Navy League of Altoona and also a former member and past president of Roaring Spring Junior Women's Club.
Ruth was member of the First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, and has attended Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg, for many years. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring, Pastor Daren Ritchey will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Grace Bible Church, 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, in memory of Ruth.
