The schools of this part of the Cove will be in session during the forenoon only on Monday. The schedule which had been adopted for the term did not provide for a full holiday on Armistice day.
State highway employees were engaged this week in erecting snowfence along the road between Henrietta and the airport by way of Millerstown, and on the road leading from Henrietta to Fredericksburg.
Martinsburg Borough Council considered the sewer tap fee question.
Revival meetings were opened at the Mennonite church and will continue until the 18th.
Mrs. Anna McNally, manager of the second floor of the Roaring Spring Department Store, was stricken with appendicitis over the weekend and was taken to the Nason hospital where she underwent an operation. Her condition is favorable.
Martinsburg firemen were called to the home of Ralph Miller when a number of wires on the automobile in the garage burned off causing considerable smoke. The firemen pushed the auto outside.
