Glenn S. Leidy, local Frigidaire dealer at Martinsburg, announced today that he had received his first new postwar model and that refigerators have now been released for sale to the public.
Pfc. James L. Wriight, 24, Woodbury soldier who wears three battle scars on his body, is now a civilian, having received an honorable discharge from the service. He arrived home last week.
Last week the housewives of Blair and Bedford counties were given the surprise of their life when the McGee Dairy presented the modern handi square milk bottle.
A printing slug containing the price of Niblets Corn in the A&P advertisement became displaced while the press was in operation and before discovery was made a number of papers were printed. Should any of the store patrons get any of these papers, they will know that the price of the Niblets is 12 cents a can.
Fire of undetermined origin destroyed the stable at the rear of the home of Oscar W. Shoenfelt in East Sharpsburg Monday.
