Conemaugh Health System announced on Tuesday, Oct. 13, that Dr. Elizabeth Dunmore has been named chief medical officer of Conemaugh Health System (CHS), effective Oct. 5, 2020. Dr. Dunmore was formerly the vice president of Medical Affairs at MMC.
"We are so excited to have Dr. Dunmore step into this important leadership role," said Bill Caldwell, market president of Conemaugh Health System. As vice president of medical affairs of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Dunmore served as a liaison to the medical staff and health system administration and worked closely with clinical chairs in the development of departmental strategies for growth and quality.
Prior to her role at Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Dunmore spent 14 years as an active member of the medical staff at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring.
"Elizabeth has done great things for Conemaugh, our patients and the community," said Patricia B. Serotkin, D.Ed., chair of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Board of Trustees. "She is engaged with the medical staff and truly enjoys being a clinician and a leader. The board and staff look forward to her leading us as the chief medical officer. She will surely continue to make a positive impact."
