On Sept. 28, host Claysburg-Kimmel defeated Northern Bedford, 25-21, 25-8, 25-7. Ally Dicken served for 23 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Harleigh Cavender added 13 service points and 12aAssists. Rebekah Claar added nine kills, while Emalee Cavender contributed seven kills and five assists.
On Sept. 29, C-K scored a 25-21, 25-20, 25-20 win over visiting Mount Union. Rebekah Claar had 16 service points to go with six kills. Harleigh Cavender added 15 service points, 13 assists and three kills, while Emalee Cavender contributed eight service points and seven kills.
C-K and host Tussey Mountain went the distance Sept. 30, with the Lady Bulldogs winning in five sets, 25-21, 25-27, 26-24, 24-26, 15-9.
C-K traveled to Juniata Valley on Oct. 1 and fell in four sets, 24-26, 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.
Central
The Lady Dragons earned their first win of the season Sept. 29, knocking off Clearfield in four sets, 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21. Brinley Bowers served for 12 points and dished out 27 assists in the victory. Addie Smith also served for 12 points, while Brooke Claar and Kirsten Ayers each added 10 kills. Hailey Mingle contributed nine service points.
Unbeaten Philipsburg-Osceola remained undefeated with a win at Central on Oct. 1, 25-13, 25-11, 25-18. Adalyn Smith served for six points to lead Central. Brinley Bowers had 12 assists, and Brooke Claar collected seven kills.
WHS
Williamsburg traveled to Glendale on Sept. 29 and lost in straight sets, 25-10, 25-11, 25-9.
