The United States Navy on Tuesday invaded Martinsburg. The citizens, however, took the invasion good-naturedly and were treated to one of the best air shows since the local airport was built.
Twenty-three planes, comprising five torpedo bombers known as TBF’s, 17 Curtis Helldivers and one Corsair fighter, on their way west, sought refuge here because of weather conditions.
