Farm Show Bringing Fall to Williamsburg

Series: Williamsburg | Story 99

“A lot of the other local craft shows have been canceled and we were trying to think of something that could benefit both the vendors, and would especially help the community of Williamsburg,” said Angie Walason, one of the Farm Show Board of Directors.

Walason is speaking of the Farm Show Fall Extravaganza Vendor and Craft Show happening from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.

This event will house more than 50 vendors on the Farm Show fairgrounds.

“The fairgrounds will be completely redesigned with scarecrows, pumpkins, and more,” Walason said. “We are extremely excited to be offering this to the community to get out and enjoy some of the local vendors.”

Besides items such as Paparazzi jewelry and Tupperware, Walason said that there will be mostly local arts and crafts vendors, along with all “Williamsburg-local food.”

This food includes the famous Farm Show kettle-cooked ham and bean soup, which will be sold by the bowl or quart, local Williamsburg funnel cakes and fresh-cut fries, along with a variety of other items such as caramel apples, sloppy joes, and nachos.

The Williamsburg Fireman’s Auxiliary will also be selling its famous hoagies.

“This event will be held rain or shine, because of social distancing, all vendors will be set up throughout the fairgrounds and in the barns,” Walason said.

The Farm Show Board is also recommending that all participants wear masks.

“It’s just an event for the whole family – there’s something for everyone to do,” Walason said.
