Robert Zeigler of Imler purchased the Hershberger Chevrolet-Oldsmobile car dealership from James and Doris Hershberger of Martinsburg. Mr. Zeigler, owner of Zeigler Chevrolet-Oldsmobile Inc. in Claysburg, gave the dealership a slightly new name, Cove Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Geo Inc.
Mrs. Grace B. (Kensinger) Miller of Homewood Retirement Center celebrated her 90th birthday Saturday, Sept. 9, 1995. Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 9, 1905, in Henrietta, the daughter of David and Anna (Bowser) Kensinger.
The octagonal framework of the new sanctuary at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church was eructed. Hamilton Church Builders in Ebensburg was the contractor for the $850,000 project. The seating capacity in the new sanctuary would be nearly 500, and with additional balcony and overflow space, the maximum capacity would be approximately 900.
Wade Smith ran for 167 yards and scored three touchdowns in Claysburg-Kimmel’s 44-42 double-overtime win against Williamsburg.
