JOANNE H. SMITH

Joanne H. Smith, 86, of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.

She was born July 6, 1934, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of the late Robert and Laura (Dively) Burket. She married Robert J. Smith. He preceded her in death Feb. 1, 1982.

She is survived by two daughters: Charlene Ebersole and fiancee Mearle Weyant of Claysburg and Carlene Prince and husband David in Maryland; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Joanne was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg.

She was a graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and enjoyed crocheting, coloring and flower gardening.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
