The Blair County Agricultural Society announced that there would be horse races for farmers and bicycle races for boys 15 and under at the county fair. The horse races were to pay a purse of $35 for trot or pace mile heats, divided into $20, $10 and $5 for first, second and third. The bicycle races were to be half mile to five miles and pay prizes of $3 for first and $2 for second. There were to be no entry fees.
Prof. J.B. Brumbaugh of Clover Creek preached the harvest home sermon for the German Baptists at New Enterprise.
