High School Set to Open

Robert R. Love, a former slave, died at his home two miles west of Woodbury, on Aug. 24, at the age of 103 years.

He was born in slavery at Culpepper Court House, Va., his master being J.B. Carter. He was twice married, his second wife being Miss Anna Lyons. She with three children to the union survived. Burial was made in the Keagy cemetery near Woodbury.

The Morrisons Cove Vocational High school was to open for the term on Monday. Prof. C.A. Byers, brother of the late Prof. Edward E. Byers, was to be in charge.
