The Cove Book Club will resume meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Martinsburg Community Library.
The book selection is “Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe,” by Heather Webber. Pick up the book from the library or download it, read it and the group will discuss it at the meeting in October.
The Martinsburg library also plans to have a used book sale Sept. 24-26 during regular library hours. Bring a bag or more and fill them with books. One bag of books will cost you only $3. Plans are to have a variety of books on tables outside the library.
Persons who have books to donate for the sale may bring them on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and put them in the Herald van which will be parked in front of the library. Persons may also bring them to the library on Thursday, Sept. 24, between 8 a.m. and noon. Persons who are unable to bring donations at these times are asked to call the library at 793-3335 and arrangements will be made to pick them up.
Quilt chances are available at the library. Tickets are $10 a piece for a chance to win the queen-size quilt which is on display at the library. The drawing will be Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020.
