Approximately 65 persons attended a banquet Sunday, Aug. 8, in celebration of D. Merl Tipton Post 43, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Martinsburg, which was marking its 75th anniversary.
After a lengthy discussion Tuesday on cost and scope of renovations to the high school building, Northern Bedford school directors voted 5-2 to authorize its architect to proceed with a PlanCon A draft.
Thaddeus Willey of Martinsburg, who was injured in Iraq, will be riding in support and memory of fellow soldiers in the Wounded Warriors Blair County Cycle-fest.
