Borough Still Considering Purchase Of Dilapidated Residential Property

For the last several years, the Borough of Williamsburg has been dealing with the property at 424-426 W. First St. Half of the property was considered for repairs, but the damage was too great.

The idea was then brought up to tear down the condemned half of the structure and leave the other half standing, as the acceptable half of the structure has been occupied.

Stiffler McGraw, engineers, told Borough Manager Joe Lansberry during the Aug. 3 Williamsburg Borough Council meeting that it would be possible to tear down just half of the house. No date was given when tear-down would occur.

At last...
