Lenora J. Boor, 80, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at her home, after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born on Oct. 28, 1939, in Henrietta, Pa., the daughter of the late David L. Detwiler and Martha N. (Ketner) Detwiler.
On Dec. 20, 1957, she married Dwayne R. Boor at the Diehl's Crossroad Church of the Brethren near Curryville, Pa.
Surviving are her husband, Dwayne Boor of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Linette K. Langguth of Chesterfield, Va.; a son, Gregory A. Boor (wife Joan) of Bel Air, Md.; a daughter, Cheryl A. Mill (husband Fred) of Montoursville, Pa.; a daughter, Tricia L. Boor of Richmond, Va.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy (Detwiler) Baker of Martinsburg, Pa.
Lenora was a 1957 graduate of Morrison Cove High School, Martinsburg, Pa. She worked for 15 years at SKF Industries in Altoona, Pa., and started her own antiques business in 1988 after moving to Richmond.
While living in the Cove, Lenora and her family were members of the Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg. After moving to Richmond, Va., she and her husband joined the Methodist Church on Forest Avenue.
Lenora was a smiling and adventurous spirit always open to any activity offered by her family. She loved boating, camping, antiquing and travel, of which there was plenty. She was fond of sunbathing by the pool and visits to the beach, volunteering with local museums, and inspiring others with her love and knowledge of history and collecting. She was adored by her grandchildren.
A private service and interment will be held at the Diehl's Crossroads Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
