Two busloads of CHS band members and a busload of parents and fans departed at midnight Tuesday for the Lions International Convention at Atlantic City and were scheduled to return early Thursday.
Charles Yingling, Roaring Spring borough secretary, has a dream of converting the Nason Woods, west of the YMCA, into a recreational park.
The swimming pool at the Blair County Children’s Home, Williamsburg, is being used by residents of the Hollidaysburg State Hospital for an hour and a half each Monday and Friday.
Founded in 1947, the Southern Cove Fire Co., is continually expanding. It is presently installing radios in the trucks and plans to buy more equipment.
A new fire truck was delivered to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company and is now ready for service. The firemen are proud of their new equipment.
The IGA has sold more than 150 inspirational paperback books in six months.
