Virginia A. Burket, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
She was born on May 29, 1931, in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry and Elvina (Henry) Corl.
On April 11, 1950, in Winchester, Va., she was united in marriage to Logan E. “Toby” Burket Sr. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2008.
Virginia was a graduate of Greenfield High School. She attended the Dallas School of Nursing in 1963 and the Earl Wheeler Finishing School of Pittsburgh in 1964.
She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Virginia was once president of the Altoona Artist Guild and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Hollidaysburg.
Surviving is her son, Logan E. Burket Jr. of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Logan E. “Toby” Burket Sr .; and a daughter, Candy Burket-Claycomb.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at the Weaver Funeral Home LLC, http://www.weaversfh.com, Woodbury. Pastor Mike Benner officiated.
Interment was in the Claysburg Union Cemetery.
