The new post office will be located at 200 E. Allegheny St. Bidding will open on July 8.
The new lights at the Gary D. Frye Memorial Field, Martinsburg, are to be dedicated between games of a Little League double-header Friday evening. The lights were purchased at a cost of around $2,000.
The Borough of Martinsburg advertised for bids for the installation of pumps and piping to connect new wells with the water system.
CHS cheerleaders earned five ribbons and a plaque last week at a National Cheerleaders’ Association clinic in Williamsport.
The Park announces winners: Danny Reynolds, first place in balloon blowing with Owen Michael placing second; Danny McCready, first place in jump rope with Dale Bailey taking second; Mike Nelson and Donald Lamborn tied for first place in the scavenger hunt with second prize going to David McCready and Danny Locke.
Next week’s events include softball throwing, a zelball contest, a wiffleball game and a dog show.
