Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
So far, so good. We are still a “go” for the Community Yard Sale on June 26 and 27.
As you are cleaning out and preparing for your sale, please keep in mind that we are still in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. We have been extremely blessed in the Cove to not have been hit with the virus and the devastation that it has caused, we need to do what we can to keep it that way.
Along with your yard sale signs, don’t forget to make a sign indicating the rules for your particular sale – and don’t let anyone shame you one way or the other. If you have rules, great. If you have no rules, great. Your house, your choice.
The Herald will have some items to sell. We will be setting up in the yard beside the Herald building and may have some things in the parking lot. We will require and enforce the wearing of masks and social distancing.
Yard Sale advertisements are coming in steadily. Don’t forget the deadline to be on the special yard sale pages is next Wednesday, June 17.
You get to decide what time your sale begins and ends and if you will open your sale to “early-birds.”
If you need a space for your sale, please call the Herald 793-2144 for assistance. We may be able to help.
So keep digging and sorting and pricing. Only two more weeks to go!
Herald Note: The lawn to the south of the Herald building in Martinsburg is only partially owned by the Herald. The portion closest to the Herald building is owned by the Herald. The Herald will be taking part in the Community Yard Sale and thus will be using part of that lawn to set up sale tables.
If you wish to use the lawn, please call the Herald at 793-2144 for more information. Please do not claim any of the lawn space without contacting the Herald.
Sorry, but any space claimed or staked out without the Herald’s permission will be removed prior to the sale.
