South Attleboro, Mass., formerly of Roaring Spring
Edgar Dewey Franks III, 54, of South Attleboro, Mass., formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at HopeHealth Hospice Hulitar Center in Providence, R.I.
He was born on March 17, 1966, in Uniontown the son of Edgar Dewey Franks Jr. and the late Frieda (Silver) Rodeheaver. He was the stepson of the late Caroline (Alexander) Franks.
Edgar married Wendy D. Tardie on May 5, 2001.
He is survived by his wife; his father of Roaring Spring; two sons: Jeffrey and Christopher; two sisters: Terri Lynn and Debbie Ann; two brothers: James M. and Kansas B .; and many nieces and nephews.
Eddie was a graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy in Iraq.
He was previously employed as a guard at the Blair County Prison and had also worked as a guard in Rhode island.
He enjoyed NASCAR and working on cars.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held in Rhode Island and a local memorial service will be held at a later date.
