Ask the Williamsburgers

Series: Williamsburg | Story 79

One of my favorite parts of graduation besides hearing “Pomp and Circumstance” is hearing the class song. The music you grow up with will forever connect you to that certain period of time. I remember thinking that my class song was a dumb pick, but 14 years later when I hear Nickelback’s “Photograph,” it takes me back to a Monday night in June at the WHS High School gymnasium. So I decided to ask the residents of Williamsburg – What was your class song? Here is what a few had to say:

Nancy Strayer: Class of 1967 – “The Impossible Dream”

Elizabeth Hatch – “Right Here (Waiting for You)” – Richard Marx

Bethany Brua – “Dreams” by Van Halen, Class of 2009

Brian Houck – “Time of Your Life” – Green Day, Class of 2002

Alice Grannas – “Climb Every Mountain” – Class of 1962

Audrey Lear – “Moments to Remember” – Class of 1956

Wendy Martin – “Do You Know Where You’re Going To” by Diana Ross – Class of 1981

Travis McCall – “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” – Class of 1999

Ashley Brodie – “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts – Class of 2011

Gina Wyerman Williams – “Bridge Over Troubled Water” – Class of 1972

Pam Smith – “We’ve Only Just Begun” by the Carpenters, Class of 1973

Danielle McCall – “Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boyz II Men, Class of 1992
