34 to Graduate Friday at Williamsburg High School

Thirty-four graduating seniors will receive their diplomas on Friday, May 29.

The ceremony will be held at the high school stadium, Veteran's Memorial Field, at 6 p.m.

In order to follow federal Centers for Disease Control guidelines, students and their families will remain in their vehicles along the track around the football field. The graduates will be called from their vehicles one by one to receive their diplomas and senior awards.

Community members may view the graduation ceremony live online, streamed by the "Only in the Cove" website. A link to the live video stream will be provided on the school district's webpage at http://www.williamsburg.k12.pa.us.

According to Secondary Principal Michel Jones, the ceremony will be broadcast over radio waves, but not at a broadcast strength that can be picked up past the immediate area of the football field.

Principal Jones said that the district is using the range-limited broadcast so the students and families will be able to clearly hear the ceremony from inside their vehicles.

Manning Photography of Tyrone will be taking photographs to capture this memorable event.

A parade through Williamsburg will conclude the commencement, giving our community an opportunity to cheer on the 2020 graduates.
