Prizes Won at Fishing Rodeo

First Lt. Dale S. Hoover has received the Bronze Star Air Medal from the President of the United States for heroic achievement while serving as a fighter pilot last year in Vietnam.

At the same time, he received a Navy Commendation Medal from the Secretary of the Navy.

Betsy Green, a first grader at the Roaring Spring Primary School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Green, has a brother graduating from high school and one graduating from college.

Rodney Green, 17 will graduate from Central on June 1 and Joel Green will graduate from Penn State, University Park.

But the Greens aren’t done. Becky, 15, is a freshman at the Spring Cove Junior High School and Jo Ellen, 11, is a fifth grader.

Brother Jerry, 19, already a CHS grad, is employed at the Martinsburg Shoe Co.

Linda, Lisa and Kathy Korona won prizes in the annual Fishing Rodeo sponsored by the Martinsburg Sportsmen’s Association held at the association’s dam at Beavertown.
