I wish I was smarter and knew God better. I have heard speculation that the coronavirus is God's punishment against a wicked world. It could be, but I can't say I know for sure. I do know God punishes. I also know He does not punish as harshly as we deserve. In the midst of His punishments He shows mercy. I also know it is pretty unusual for God to punish immediately. It is true that infrequently His punishment is sudden.
