Eighty-nine employees of the prestress concrete plant of the New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc., went on strike Thursday.

On the same day, a large storage barn on the NES&L property at Plum Creek was destroyed by fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined and it is under continuing investigation by the state police fire marshal.

A film festival of old-time motion pictures will be presented for children in grades 1 to 12 today at the Williamsburg Library.

Pennsylvania voters will consider at Tuesday’s election whether to provide $27,000,000 in additional funds to the Vietnam Veterans’ Bonus compensation program.

The Dilling’s Excavating team of the Frinite Ladies League at Memorial Park took first place in the team standings at the end of the season.
