The Spring Cove School Board has approved a tentative budget for 1970-71 that will not require any increases in taxes for the coming school year.
The Blair County Historical Society had 670 members as of Jan. 1, 1970.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoover left Saturday on a trip to Florida. They saw the moon shot at Cape Kennedy.
Lottie Smith of Martinsburg and Bernard Bailey of Roaring Spring joined 130 other 4-H members from Pennsylvania for a two-day visit to the capital. The program was designed to help the young people become more responsible citizens.
Three teenage girls from the Cove area were hospitalized and an Altoona woman was hurt in a two-car collision at the Logan Valley Mall parking lot on Saturday.
Ronald E. Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Price, Roaring Spring, was recently promoted to Army specialist five while serving with the 34th Engineer Battalion near Phu Loi, Vietnam.
The Martinsburg Jaycee chapter received its charter at a banquet at Memorial Park.
