Cove-area food pantries are continuing to provide services for their clients during the COVID-19 restrictions.
Martinsburg
The Martinsburg Food Pantry is located in the old borough building, 133 E. Allegheny St. The pantry which will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. today, April 2, and Thursday, April 16, services residents in Martinsburg, Huston, North Woodbury and Taylor Townships.
Roaring Spring
The Roaring Spring Food Pantry is open from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday’s at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 401 E. Main St. Services are available to residents of Roaring Spring Borough and Taylor Township.
Pastor Amanda McCaffery of St. Luke’s said donations are currently down and the pantry is unable to make a purchase through the grocery store because of COVID-19 restrictions. At this time they are currently requesting donations of pancake mix, canned fruit, cereal (various types), Au Gratin potatoes, rice, elbow macaroni, and mac and cheese. Donations can be placed in the white bin outside the doors of the Food Pantry anytime.
Claysburg
The Claysburg Food Pantry is open from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays at the Claysburg Church of the Brethren, 577 S. Bedford St. The Food Pantry is also open from 6 to 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the church for those who can’t get there during the morning hours.
Williamsburg
The Williamsburg Food Pantry is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursdays outside of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Woodbury
The Woodbury Food Pantry is open from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Friday of each month at the Woodbury Area Community Center. The pantry will be open on Friday, April 17.
