The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art is offering the classes
The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art located in downtown Bedford at 137 E. Pitt St. is temporarily closed to the public due to the COVID-19 virus. However, SAMA Bedford has not allowed this to stop us from reaching out to the community and providing some outlets for families during this time of isolation.
Monday through Friday at 1:00 pm, this week and next week there will be hour long Arts and Crafts classes live streamed through SAMA Bedford’s Facebook page. All are welcome to join and participate. Teachers live stream guidance to all participants and can answer any questions that may be asked during the “class”. If students are unavailable during the live stream, no worries. Each class will be posted on our Facebook page to view continually. Once a project is completed, we encourage “students” to take a photograph of their works of art and send them into SAMA Bedford with their name and age. They can be sent to our email, posted in the comments of the Facebook class or sent to Facebook Messenger. Later, all the submitted images will be made into a slideshow and shown at the museum once it is open back up to the public.
The schedule for the craft and instructors will be posted on Friday for the following week on SAMA Bedford’s Facebook page.
